The Organizers
Support the organizers building year-round civic power in their own communities.
Why this portfolio works
Elections get the headlines, but democracy is built between them — by organizers who show up, listen, and bring people together. This portfolio backs the groups turning neighbors into civic participants, building durable local power, and supporting the leaders who emerge from their own communities.
Sustaining organizing takes more than one kind of organization. This portfolio combines organizer training pipelines, leadership development, direct-action support, civic infrastructure, and Black-led movement organizing — so organizations working at different points in the system reinforce one another.
